|Description:||We are looking for a temporary warehouse clerk/helper to work during our busy season in our Head Office Warehouse located in Richmond Hill. The hours are Mon to Fri, 8am to 5pm.|
In this position we're looking for someone to perform a variety of routine shipping and receiving tasks. For example, must be able to comprehend information on incoming and outgoing shipments with purchase orders, invoices and other documents.
This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.
|Duties:||Sorts, counts packages, labels. Unpacks and logs inventory which is shipped or received.|
Inspects shipments for damages or defects.
Records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor or purchasing staff.
Delivers items to requisitioning department and obtains authorized signatures.
May trace lost shipments or customer claims; initiates proof of delivery documents.
May maintain department data base, prepare routine reports and file receiving records.
May operate dolly, pallet jack in loading and unloading supplies and shipments.
Follows established departmental policies, procedures. Works to maintain safety and environmental controls.
Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
Maintains standards of cleanliness and organization.
Promotes good customer service with internal and external customers.
Performs other duties as required.
|Qualifications:||High School Diploma|
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong attention to detail, prepare routine adminstrative paperwork.
Some knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook is required.
Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects.
Ladder climbing is required.
